DESCRIPTION:
Chelsea Base and Ball brass 8 day 8" dial house strike mantel clock, 1908.
CONDITION:
this style later was called the "Commodore". Old lacquer patina on heavy cast metal case. Special silvered dial with applied bronze numbers and fancy bronze hands in very nice condition with retailer name on dial "The Cowell & Hubbard Co., Cleveland". Matching early serial number 35065 on movement and wooden case bottom. Ticks and strikes but needs cleaning; note that this is not a ship's bells striker but rings hours and half hours. 12.5" tall.
